WHY HEELS ON WHEELS?

My name is Lenka Hlavatá...

I am a manager, economist, executive director of the consulting group HPCG.cz, and founder of the Czech Goodwill corporate Oscars. I enjoy managing... everything... I drive rallies, hill climbs, circuit races, or just for fun...

I founded and officially launched the Heels on Wheels project in 2022. As part of this project, I created and, in April 2023, fielded the first all-female crew in the history of long-distance rallying in the Czech Republic and Slovakia at the start of the world's largest open cross-country rally.

However, entering the motorsport history books was never the only goal of the project. Others include supporting women in motorsport and, more generally, presenting women in less traditional roles. This is loosely linked to elements of inspiration (e.g., Desert Talks or Garage Talks: Ladies Edition) and education (e.g., the management course Running a Company is Like Driving a Race Car). And, as is natural for me, the project also has a charitable aspect.

WHO WE ARE
AND WHAT WE DRIVE

We are office girls. We are not professional pilots or navigators; we go to work, take care of our families, and in our free time, we devote ourselves to our passion, which is motorsport.

You can see us on rally tracks throughout the Czech Republic, which we race on with Markéta Srbová, Šárka Rejfková, and others. Sometimes you can also meet me at a hill climb race or old-timer rally, and what I like best, unfortunately, is the most time-consuming and financially demanding, are international cross-country races.

So far, our greatest success, together with Niki Verbičová, has been 3rd place in the world's second largest cross country rally, the Morocco Desert Challenge 2024 (SSV Open category). It was a successful comeback after an unlucky debut in 2023, when we started with Gabriela Budínová (the first Czech woman to complete the Dakar on a motorcycle) as a replacement for the canceled Africa Eco Race.

Africa remains close to my heart, and I still believe that we will make it to Dakar with our Vilda ;-)
